Reverend Charles Sam, founder and the presiding Bishop of Faith House Ministry, which is a section of the Zoe Ministries International was thrilled when he recognized my amazing ability to turn complex task into a simple unit - in the case of creating a book!
After two months of listening to him and his ideas of coming out with a book, I took the pain to go through his mind and this was the outcome...a book to touch the world.
This book will highlight the challenges we face in life and the corresponding prunning God designs to take off our old nature.
book introduction
' I
have observed a pattern towards life; a pattern which I call
Deformed to Conform. Carefully, I have observed a paradigm shift
towards the manner in which God deals with mankind, with its inception just
after the fall of Adam. It is a masterpiece of life training in which the
Creator of the universe deploys as a means to an end…the purpose; to make us
fit for His work.
Truly,
Adam was made to live wholly in the comfort zone of the Garden of Eden (a
symbol representing things freely given)
without the need to go through some sort of basic life challenges designed for
one’s perfection and survival. The Bible points out clearly from Genesis that
everything about/for Adam, together with his life, was to be painless.
However,
the fall of Adam through disobedience (sin) brought about the working of
deformation from God. When Adam fell, he became corrupt in his spirit, by that
virtue, his soul and body were corrupted. Sin now gained ascendancy from Adam
to the seed, as the Bible says, ‘for by one man sin entered into the world’.
The working of deformation, through the Holy
Spirit was necessary primary to destroy the fruits which our soul and the body
begun to produce.
Deformation
now is a continuous process for the newly born Christian, primarily on his soul
and his body in order to work out the good will of the Father. It must be noted here that we play a part
when it comes to this training…the Godward and Manward approach.
According to Apostle Paul in (Romans 12:2), he
admonishes us to transform our mind; a seat, where sin plays a heavy role in
making us yield to the desires of our fallen nature, despite our new birth
experience from God. He also adds that we submit (control) our bodies as
sacrifice...the purpose of which is to help us not yield to their lustful
desires, but to please God with them, through service.
Our new birth
experience would not be wholesome till we allow God to work, through the
Spirit, using the experience of deformation, on our fallen nature.
Let
us embrace this duty and we would end up once again in our Garden of Eden at the end
of our discourse, having experienced first our wilderness experience through
deformation.
In
summary, any branch (born again Christian) that bears fruit, the father prunes
(deforms/destroys the old nature) so that it to bear much fruit (conform to the
will of God)'.
